We are now in a globally connected world. If people link that an isolationist business environment is the true path to strengthening the United States, they are mistaken. Last Friday, the country of Pakistan closed off internet access to YouTube, but ended up shutting the site down to Two-Thirds of the world.

Given what happened last week with Pakistan, we can no longer think the internet is used by the US only. We must think globally as in the World Wide Web.  As Pakistan tried to close off YouTube traffic last week, they cut YouTube off from a majority of the world internet community. This impact not only demonstrates the vulnerability of US internet companies overseas, but the internet as a whole and how a global shutdown can be worse than a Trojan Virus.
